“For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building. According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 3:9-11

These verses describe the importance of how we build our spiritual house. Regardless how beautiful the structure is if it is not founded on Christ there is only failure that waits. We must build our lives on the solid rock of Jesus Christ. If we do the life we build will be steadfast and sure. Nothing can move or destroy a life that is built on Christ.

A few years ago, we felt the drawing of the Lord to build a second facility on our property. We have prayed much and slowly listened as the Lord laid out the vision. We wanted to make sure it was His plan and not a personal desire to just have a building. Once the men felt unanimous in the direction we were able to discuss presenting it to the church family and share ideas for the layout and uses.

God has opened up several new ideas for the complex, one of which is a Christian school. It is obvious this is not an easy task but just as we have trusted God thus far, we know He will guide in this area as well.

Several ministries will be enhanced by having a place to expand. All our kids, youth, and adult ministries not to mention Camp Cove, VBS, retreats and many other church functions. We are excited about what God has planned and even now we may see the full vision God has for the expansion.

Now we are praying over the pledges to the cost and we know God will provide what is needed as He always has. I just want to thank our church family for their faith and willingness to step out when God leads. We are blessed with such amazing people at the Cove, and I look forward to many more years of working together to bring glory to our Savior! Continue to pray over the building and the decisions that will need to be made regarding it that we will follow the Lord in each step.
